The European Kurdistan Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) has issued a condolence message for Doctor Beate Ergün, who passed away on 17 June due to a brain tumour.
The message underlined that Ergün, who was 63 years old, “was a friend of the Kurdish people and worked hard for the freedom struggle of the people of Kurdistan for almost 40 years. She actively carried out foreign relations work within the Aachen Kurdish People's House. She took an active part in all events, not holding back from any duties.”
'Kurdish people lost a life companion'
The KCDK-E said: “The Kurdish people have lost a friend. We will always remember her in our struggle for freedom and keep her memory alive.”
A ceremony will be held at the Hüls Cemetery in Aachen tomorrow, 21 June.
The KCDK-E called on the Kurdish people to attend Beate Ergün’s funeral.
