KCDK-E: Stop the Turkish state under dictator Erdogan!

After the Turkish drone attack on Maxmur Camp, the Kurdish umbrella organization in Europe, KCDK-E appeals to the Kurdish people and all people in solidarity not to watch the crimes of the Erdogan dictatorship in silence.

The European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) called after yesterday's drone attack on the Maxmur Camp in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) not to remain silent about the crimes of the Turkish state. In a statement, the association recalled that the refugee camp, located about 60 kilometers southwest of Hewlêr (Erbil), is officially under the protection of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The UN, the Iraqi central government and South Kurdistan’s ruling party KDP had reached an agreement with Turkey that violated international law. Turkey has been attacking for 28 years with the approval of NATO and the KDP, the KCDK-E said and appealed to Kurds worldwide to stand up for their own dignity and not to remain silent.

The statement continued: "The Turkish occupying army is suffering heavy losses in its genocidal attack on South Kurdistan and is looking for a way out by massacring the civilian population. The people in Maxmur have made it clear that they do not accept the oppression by the Turkish state and that they resist against it. We must give voice to this call for mobilization, we must stand up everywhere."

Appeal to people in solidarity and the Western states

KCDK-E appealed to all people in solidarity not to watch the massacres of the Kurdish people in silence: "Do not forget that the fascist Turkish state is your enemy as well as our enemy. The Kurdish people are fighting for their dignity. In this struggle countless people have fallen, thousands are resisting in prisons. Let us not forget the brave women who have terrified ISIS. They have defended the dignity of humanity. Let us not forget the people subjected to inhumane torture and burned alive in basements. Those who want to defend the dignity of humanity should not remain silent about the crimes committed against the Kurdish people."

KCDK-E called on the Western states to abandon their hypocritical policies and enforce international law, saying, "The Kurdish people will realize their longing for freedom in this struggle and emerge victorious. As KCDK-E, we call on our patriotic people to be more than committed to this struggle and not to waste a second in the mobilization. We call on our friends, all revolutionary people and all humanity to immediately do everything possible to stop dictator Erdogan and the Turkish state in their genocide."
