The Kurdish European umbrella organization KCDK-E has started mobilizing for the second round of the presidential elections. The association emphasized the historic opportunity to overthrow the dictator.
The second turn of the presidential election in Turkey and North Kurdistan is now imminent. The Kurdish European umbrella organization KCDK-E issued a statement saying that the 14 May elections were a success because, despite the theft of votes and fraud at almost 1,000 ballot boxes, massive repression and an anti-Kurdish election climate, it was still possible to prevent Erdoğan from winning in the first round.
The KCDK-E said: "It should be clear to everyone that the fascist AKP-MHP regime has in particular bet on distorting the results of the elections with all kinds of racist and anti-Kurdish policies. The main objective of this strategy is to run against a demoralized, weak, self-doubting and divided opposition in the second round, thereby turning the tide in its favour."
"Erdoğan lost"
The statement added that despite the fact that ballot boxes were confiscated in cities and the election was systematically obstructed and manipulated, Erdoğan actually lost. "As much as the dictator Erdoğan and his clique mobilized all their militaristic forces in this election, they still could not be successful.
It is evident that a special effort has been made to demoralize those who want democracy and freedom, to break their resistance in the second turn.
We must underline that the fascist front is attempting to win the second turn by creating a defeated attitude. It is clear to the dictator Erdoğan that he cannot actually win. All our people, the intellectuals, the revolutionaries, the democrats, the resisters who say enough is enough and those who want change know that no battle is easy to win."
"We will defeat the dictator Erdoğan"
The statement continued: "The hate language that has accumulated for a hundred years and the anti-Kurdish racism will not be enough to save the dictator Erdoğan from his bitter end. We are convinced that we will win. We prevented the election of the dictator Erdoğan in the first round, now we will make sure he loses!
We started our work in the belief that our patriotic people will make good use of this historic opportunity and will do their duty with great motivation. Let's make sure there is no one who doesn't vote."
