KCDK-F called on French President Macron to stand by the Yazidi and act to ensure their autonomous status.
After the Shengal Agreement signed between the Iraqi Central Government and the KDP on 9 October, more than 8 thousand military units were dispatched to the Shengal region.
KCDK-F called on French President Macron to stand by the Yazidi and act to ensure their autonomous status.
The KCDK-F said in a statement: “We call on the French President, already actively involved in the protection of the Yazidis, to act in favour of the recognition of an autonomous status for the Shengal region. This would be the only way to prevent another massacre against this religious minority ravaged by the atrocious crimes of Daesh.”
The KCDK-F added: “We call on political parties, civil society organizations and all those committed to peace, freedom and democracy to mobilize and protest against this agreement which disregards the will of the people.”
