KCK: Attacks should be responded with uprising

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has called for uprising in response to the attacks of the AKP government, recalling that Kurdish youth Muzaffer Gürül was deliberately killed by security forces, and that over 40 people have been murdered in the last one month.

Releasing a statement in wake of murder by Turkish soldiers of 23-year-old Muzaffer Gürül who was raided bullets by soldiers after not stopping at a control point in front of the Abalı (Korxa) Gendarmerie Station on Amed-Bingöl road yesterday, KCK offered condolences to the Gürül family and the Kurdish people. KCK said the murder of Gürül has been one of the hundreds of killings perpetrated by the AKP during its 12-year-old ruling.

Remarking that killing Kurds and others resisting to the government has become normal during the AKP ruling, KCK recalled that more than 40 people have been killed in the last one month, and that the AKP police have however given answer for none of these killings. "On the contrary, over a thousand people have been arrested and detained with encouragement from the Security Law.

The KCK statement underlined that; "Our people and the powers struggling for democracy and freedom alongside them will respond with uprising to the AKP ruling's attacks that disregard the human life and try to suppress even the smallest democratic fair reaction with political arrests and murders."

Pointing out that the AKP ruling is every day mentioning public security and safety, the KCK emphasised that the Kurdish people will continue and step up the struggle against these kinds of policies and implementations unless the AKP government abandons this mindset and ensures democratization in Turkey and a resolution to the Kurdish question.

"The manifestation of the reaction by the people isn't a public security issue but a fair and democratic right to resist to cruelty and tyranny. The memory of those martyrised in these attacks should be a reason to enhance the struggle. Resistance will continue until the government abandons the present perception of security and safety", the KCK said and called for uprising for the funeral of Muzaffer Gürül.
