The Court in Istanbul dealing with the main "KCK" Istanbul trial has decided to send the case file to the Turkish Constitutional Court.

205 Kurdish politicians and human rights activists are on trial in the case, none of them remaining in custody. The trial continued following the abolishing of courts with special powers. At the second hearing in the Istanbul no. 3 Criminal Court defence counsel requested that the case file be sent to the Constitutional Court (AYM) on the grounds that the case is in violation of the Constitution. The court bench took the request seriously and decided to send the file to the AYM, adjourning the case until a decision is made by the AYM until 15 April 2015.

Lawyer Sinan Zincir said: "With this decision these cases have been shown once again to be groundless.”
