KCK: National unity is a must, not a need

Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) Executive Council Presidency released a written statement to condemn the Halabja Genocide which it evaluated as a consequence of the Arab nation-state's destruction policy against Kurds.

We remember the victims of the Halabja Genocide with respect and condemn the exploitative power that perpetrated this brutal crime against humanity, it said.

"The dominant regimes in Kurdistan have always threatened the presence of the Kurdish people and made them suffer genocides at different times and places. In the meantime, the western powers of capitalist modernity have been a party to the genocides of Kurds by providing economic and political support to the exploitative systems in the territory of Kurdistan", said KCK and remarked that the Kurdish people must ensure a unity, organization and self-defense to defeat the policies of genocides imposed on them. "National unity and struggle is not a need but a must for the Kurdish people in the current historic process of Kurdistan's reconstruction on the way to a free status for the people and territory of Kurdistan"

KCK pointed out that the people of Kurdistan should join Newroz in mass to display their will against the fascist and discrimination and chauvinist mindset and to strongly condemn the genocides of Halabja, Qamislo, Roboski and Paris.

KCK ended its statement by calling on all Kurds to enhance the struggle for unity, brotherhood and democracy with an aim to build a new democratic system in the Middle East on the basis of the recognition of the presence of the Kurdish people.
