The KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Presidency issued a statement regarding the ISIS attacks on Kobanê and protests and resistance in the border area.

The KCK has greeted the resistance in the village of Pirsus against the Turkish state-supported ISIS attacks on Kobanê, saying: "Now is the time to defend our honour. There should be no limit to the resistance. Everywhere must be turned into a Pirsus."

‘No passage will be given to ISIS fascism at Kobanê'

The statement praised the heroic resistance of the YPG and YPJ forces and the people of Kobanê against ISIS fascism, saying ISIS would definitely be defeated. The statement stressed that ISIS would not be allowed to pass at Kobanê, "whatever the forces behind them and however big their weapons are."

‘Stance of Turkish state is one of hostility'

The KCK statement described Turkish state support for ISIS as 'total hostility', adding: "The support of the Turkish state for ISIS and its relations with it have been documented. Every bullet fired at North Kurdistan by the iSIS gangs has been fired by the Turkish state. This is what the Kurds should understand and they should resist accordingly. This hostility signifies partnership in crime with ISIS fascism."

‘Everywhere should be Kobanê  and Pirsus’

The KCK greeted the resistance in support of Kobanê in the border area at Pirsus, saying: "The resistance shown by our people at Pirsus is of great value. No Kurd should see themselves apart from the resistance in Kobanê and Pirsus. The struggle against the AKP government should be stepped up everywhere in North Kurdistan. The people of Kurdistan are going through a critical historic phase. With a spirit of national resistance, not only Kobanê, but the whole of Kurdistan will be victorious."

‘The Kurdish people should place no limits on their resistance'

Our people should unite and step up the resistance. No limits should be placed on this resistance, which will defend the freedom and honour of the Kurdish people. Every massacre within the artificial borders thrust like a spear through the heart of Kurdistan is a reason for an uprising. If we cannot resist today, when will we ever resist? No one should be content with being a spectator. There should be no obstruction to shoulder to shoulder resistance with the people of Kobanê. All barriers should be overcome with the spirit of national honour, resistance and unity. We call on all our people and our friends to step up the resistance everywhere."
