KCK: Youth from North Kurdistan must join Kobanê resistance
The KCK Executive Council has called on the people of North Kurdistan to support the heroic resistance of Kobanê. "The youth of North Kurdistan must go to Kobanê and join the historic, honourable resistance." The KCK statement compared the broad alliance against ISIS to the broad front set up against fascism during WWII, saying even those who had nurtured ISIS were now opposing it.
The KCK Executive Council has issued a written statement drawing attention to the new onslaught launched by the fascist gangs of ISIS on Kobanê, which they have been attacking constantly for 2 years, increasing their attacks after every defeat they suffer at the hands of YPG-YPJ fighters.
‘ISIS encouraged by stance of Turkish state'
"ISIS receives encouragement from the Turkish state's attitude as it mounts these attacks. Turkey completes the encirclement of Kobanê from the north. It is also continuing to provide arms and logistic support to ISIS and is an accomplice in the massacres carried out by ISIS."
‘Kobanê is resisting heroically for the Kurdish people and all the peoples of the Middle East'
The KCK statement compared the resistance of Kobanê to ISIS fascism today to that of Stalingrad against the Nazis during WWII.
"Kobanê is also the symbol of the Rojava Revolution, and in reality it is a part of North Kurdistan. Young people from the North must go to Kobanê and join the historic, honourable resistance."
‘The people of North Kurdistan must say "they shall not pass" to ISIS fascism'
The KCK Executive Council underlined that the people of North Kurdistan should go to the border with Kobanê and stop the support provided by Turkey to the gangs, and fight shoulder to shoulder against fascism in Kobanê.
"As our leader said, ISIS grew in the manure of capitalist modernity. And Turkey nurtured it. Now it is fighting all the peoples of the Middle East, first and foremost the Kurds. ISIS is now attacking all communities, so that even those that previously supported it have come out against it. Just like in the Second World War when a broad front was established against fascism", KCK said and added that;
"Without doubt, the peoples of the Middle East will destroy ISIS and establish a free and democratic life in order to ensure no more ISIS-like organisations emerge."
