Speaking at Newroz celebrations in Hakkari where thousands took to the Newroz area to demand peace in the country and freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) co-chair Gültan Kışanak said that on 21 March in Amed the Kurdish leader would announce the road map which -she underlined- would be for the benefit of all peoples.

Referring to the ongoing process of Imralı talks, Kışanak said the followings adressing to thousands; "I know you have doubts and lack of trust but we will continue displaying the resistance we have been displaying for years now. Our freedom struggle for which we all paid great prices so far will lead us to liberation and enable us welcome Öcalan who will be with us soon. This new process will witness our democratic liberation struggle which we are going to achieve through our democratic organization. The more organized we get, the stronger will our struggle become and the more changes we will bring to Turkey and the Middle East".

Reminding of the fascist attacks on Newroz meetings in some cities, Kışanak pointed out that the Kurdish people insist on peace and a together living despite the denial of their identity and language they have faced for years now.
