Thousands of people have been paying tribute to Sakine Cansýz, Fidan Doðan (Rojbin) and Leyla Þaylemez in Paris today. The coffins have been brought to Villiers-Le-Bel, accompanied by thousands.
While the wake and farewell ceremony was taking place in Paris, BDP co-chair Gulten Kýþanak was addressing her party group in Parliament.
"Turkey is as responsible as France in this murder and the investigation which will follow - said the BDP co-chair - these women are Turkish citizens. Any state remaining silent in the face of the murder of one of its own citizens cannot be called a state.”
Kýþanak went further and stated that "This massacre could have been stopped, but it wasn't." She added that "If a bug can be placed in the private office of the Turkish prime minister, how can it be said that the deep state in Turkey has fully disappeared?".
Kýþanak invited everyone to join the ceremonies and funeral of the three women, whose bodies will be sent to Diyarbakýr from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris tomorrow morning.
Sakine Cansýz will be buried in Dersim; Fidan Doðan will be taken to Elbistan, while Leyla Þaylemez will be buried in Mersin on Friday.
