KNK calls for solidarity with Kobanê

Speaking to ANF about the increasing attacks of ISIS gangs on Kobanê, KNK (Kurdistan National Congress) Executive Council Member Adem Uzun called on the people of North Kurdistan to actively gather at the border in solidarity with the Kobanê resistance.

Uzun recalled that ISIS gangs are continuing to carry out brutal attacks on the Kurdish people in two parts of Kurdistan, and that the most recent attacks on the Kobanê canton have reached the peak due to the logistic assistance provided from the Turkish border and tanks seized from the Syrian and Iraqi armies.

Drawing attention to the resistance of YPG and YPJ fighters against ISIS gangs intending to commit mass killings in Kobanê and villages, Adem Uzun condemned the silence of western governments, underlining that it is a duty of not only Kurds but of the whole world to stop ISIS gangs. He added that they especially condemned the silence of the European Union and the international coalition at the savagery committed by inhuman gangs against the people.

Uzun called on the people of North Kurdistan to take to the borders, youths from all parts of Kurdistan to join the Kobanê resistance and the Kurdish diaspora in Europe to mobilise in the diplomatic area.

The KNK Executive Council Member stressed that breaking the wave of ISIS attacks on Kobanê and ensuring the safety of Sinjar people was the assurance of building a model of democracy and common life of the 21st century.
