STRASBOURG
Protesters gathered in Strasbourg to condemd the gangs’ attacks on Kobanê. The protest began with a moment of silence for civilians massacred in Kobanê. French Socialist Party representative Richard Sancho Andreo, former EP parliamentarian from the Green Party Sandrine Beiler, French Communist Party representative Christian Grose and Alevi Associations representative from Alsace Region Muhammer Sagan spoke during the protest and condemned ISIS barbarism.
DRAGUİGNAN
Kobanê massacre was protested in the city of Draguignan in France and tens of Kurdish people distributed fliers on the massacre. French public was invited to raise their voices against the massacre and people chanted slogans of “Long live Kobanê resistance”, “Long live YPG - YPJ”, and “Terrorist ISIS.”
BORDEAUX
Approximately 300 people protested ISIS massacres in Kobanê and marched towards the Turkish consulate. Fliers and chants against AKP accompanied the march and Kurdish political Felat Marinos criticized brutal warfare tactics of ISIS. People chanted slogans of “Long live Kobanê resistance” and “Kobanê will not fall.”
LORIENT / RENNES
Kurdish, Turkish and Broton people protested ISIS attacks on Kobanê in Loriend and Rennes. After a march of 3 km near the church of Kerentrech accompanied by posters of PKK, KCK, YPG, YPJ, PJAK, YPG, and Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Slogans of “Long live Kobanê resistance”, “Long live Leader Apo”, and “Martyrs won’t die” marked the protest and speakers criticized European countries’ listing of forces fighting ISIS gangs as terrorist groups. People in Rennes gathered in Trois Soleil and made a press statement after their march that began at 17:00.
