Komalên Ciwan Coordination issued a written statement and called upon the revolutionary youth of Kurdistan to stand up for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and launch a freedom for Öcalan initiative that will inflict the final blow against fascism. The Coordination pointed out that the third world war currently waged in the Middle East deepens destruction and poverty in the region and promotes crises and chaos in hegemonic states. The Coordination said the tragic truth about the war shakes the foundations of political powers that employ fascist brutality in order to break the will of people and cling on to power.

Komalên Ciwan Coordination stated that Kurdistan lies at the center of this third world war and has become the last stronghold of free people under the attack of colonial powers. The coordination noted that the main war in the Middle East is taking place between brutal and genocidal fascism and the struggle for socialism and freedom carried out by the PKK, and that Kurdish people in all parts of Kurdistan are forced to surrender and become the slaves of colonial powers.

Describing the Turkish state and the AKP government as the proponents of such colonial powers, Komalên Ciwan Coordination recalled that Erdoğan has launched an all-out war to enhance its fascism and target Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. The Coordination emphasized the importance of Öcalan for all Kurdish people, stressing that the current genocidal war targets Öcalan who is isolated on İmralı Island.

The coordination pointed out that the mistreatment of Öcalan serves to embolden the revolutionary struggle of the youth of Kurdistan, which will eventually prevail and defeat fascism. Lastly, the Coordination called upon the revolutionary youth of Kurdistan to stand up for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and launch a freedom for Öcalan initiative that will inflict the final blow against fascism.
