KON-MED calls on people to join rallies in Germany on Saturday

KON-MED called on people to join rallies and marches in many different German cities on Saturday to protest the usurpation of the metropolitan municipalities of Amed, Mardin and Van.

Reactions to the AKP-MHP government's decision to appoint trustees to the metropolitan municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin are growing.

The German Confederation of Communities in Kurdistan (KON-MED) announced that they will travel to different areas of Germany to protest the AKP-MHP invasion and attacks against the Kurdish people.

"Since the 1990s, - said KON-MED in a statement - the Turkish state has been carrying out its policy aiming at destroying all gains achieved by the Kurdish people."

The people, said KON-MED, "will protect the elected mayors and municipalities. The people will not give in to this mentality that ignores their votes and usurpes their will. They will not accept it and will resist to the end."

KON-MED urged everyone "to join the demonstrations organised throughout Germany on Saturday."
