The umbrella organization of the Kurdish Diaspora in Germany, KON-MED, released a written statement to condemn the International Conspiracy against Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

“The International Conspiracy against the Kurdish people in the person of Öcalan has left 24 years behind. The forces that carried out this conspiracy and the forces that maintain the current isolation against him are the same. The aim of the conspiratorial forces is to perpetuate the chaos in the Middle East, particularly in Kurdistan,” the statement said.

“Democratic Confederalism put forward by Öcalan has been a source of hope for the peoples of the Middle East. This conspiracy is essentially a aimed at eradicating it. However, the conspiratorial forces have failed to do so,” noted the statement, which further included the following:

"ÖCALAN’S IDEAS INSPIRE PEOPLES"

“Öcalan's resolute revolt has significantly frustrated the International Conspiracy and prompted the Rojava Women's Revolution. Moreover, the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" [Woman, Life, Freedom] which became the symbol of the freedom struggle that has been going on in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan for weeks under the leadership of women, relies on Öcalan’s paradigm of women’s emancipation.

Öcalan’s paradigm has become a source of hope not only in the Middle East, but also for all the peoples of the world. This is the main purpose of the isolation imposed on him in prison. His ideas have inspired the peoples of the world by breaking isolation as well as frustrating the conspiracy. Those currently taking to the streets for freedom against the fascist regimes are inspired by the ideas of Öcalan.

The international forces have reactionary-fascist governments carry out attacks against Öcalan's physical freedom, the Kurdish people's struggle to protect their own existence, the democratization of the Middle East, and people’s aspiration for a democratic and egalitarian world. We must now bring this glorious resistance to a conclusion and ensure the physical freedom of Öcalan in order to respond to the 25th anniversary of the conspiracy.

As October 9 marks the 25th anniversary of the international conspiracy, we call on all our people and friends to join the marches that will take place on October 8 in Germany under the leadership of YJK-E.”
