Kurdish activist goes on hunger strike in Giessen

Kurdish hunger strike campaign against the isolation of Abdullah Ocalan continues growing.

The hunger strike resistance led by HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven demanding an end to isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan continues around Europe.

Leyla Güven who is on day 92 of indefinite hunger strike, has been joined by around 300 prisoners in Turkish jails, and by dozens of Kurdish activists in Kurdistan, many European cities, Toronto and Russia.

Kurdish activist Mehmet Şerif Narman has also started an indefinite hunger strike in the German city of Giessen with the motto “Let’s break isolation, destroy fascism”.

The hunger strike action is taking place in the Kurdish Democratic Society Center in Giessen city.
