Kurdish artist Deniz Deman was detained at Khabor border gate in the scope of a lawsuit brought against her for allegedly spreading propaganda for an illegal organization at Newroz celebration in Bulanık district of Muş this year.
Kurdish artist Deniz Deman was detained at Khabor border gate while on the way back from South Kurdistan where she attended a program.
After detention at the border gate at around 3 am last night, Deman was referred to Silopi Courthouse four hours later.
It is reported that Deman was taken into custody in the scope of a lawsuit brought against her for allegedly spreading propaganda for an illegal organization with a song she sang at Newroz celebration in Bulanık district of Muş this year.
Procedures against the Kurdish artist at prosecutor's office continue.
