12 Kurdish artists from Rojava painted in front of the German parliament in protest at the Turkish state’s invasion of Rojava and massacre of peoples.

Protests continue worldwide against the Turkish state’s invasion of North-East Syria and genocidal attacks against the civilians in the region.

In the German capital city Berlin, an artistic demonstration was held in front of the Federal Parliament (Bundestag).

12 Kurdish artists from Rojava painted in front of the parliament today, drawing great interest from the German people and large crowds of tourists.

The artists Meryem Ayşo, Wehid Tewfiq, Nesrin Bayem, Xıdır Evdilkerim, Rodi Xelil, Şirin Dawud, Kawa Katsikats, Taha Zali, Ari Mirza, Hesen Huissen, Hasan Malla and Keçi Xom painted nine drawings depicting the Turkish Erdoğan regime’s genocidal attacks against peoples before a huge banner that read “Turkish army and Islamists out of Northern Syria”.

The drawings included the portraits of children who were killed or injured with the chemical weapons used by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries in northern Syria.

The artistic event was also supported by members of PYD Berlin branch and Civaka Îslamiya Kurdistan (CİK).

In a joint statement to the press, the artists said that they wanted to call out to human conscience through art, adding that their artistic protests will continue to counter the dirty hands invading their country and massacring the people.
