Kurdish artists living in Europe sent messages about the elections on 14 May.

Hozan Şemdin stated that Turkey has been ruled by antidemocratic and fascist methods for 100 years and said: "There has been oppression, denial and destruction of the Kurdish people for 100 years. Turkey is not a country with democratic practices. These elections are a historic opportunity for us. If we don't want this government, let's go to the polls. This is an opportunity to establish democratic values. Our people should take advantage of this opportunity and vote for the Green Left Party."

Drawing attention to the historical importance of the elections, artist Amele said: "Let's vote for the Green Left Party to overthrow this dictatorship, to bring freedom of belief, freedom of thousands of prisoners, return of thousands of exiles to their lands, stop the war and stop the deaths."

Hozan Beser Şahin, on the other hand, called out to the people of Dersim and demanded that they vote for the Green Left Party to put an end to the denial and repression of the Kurdish people.

'Let's go to the polls, overthrow the power'

Hozan Cewad Merwani also invited the people to the ballot boxes in order to "overthrow this government, which carries out politics based on the enmity of the Kurdish people." He added: "Let this fascist government that wages war on the Kurds understand the power of the Kurds. Let this be our goal when we go to the ballot boxes. Let's topple this dictator. Let’s vote for the Green Left Party."

Hozan Hakim Sefkan stated that this was the most strategic and important election for the Kurdish people among all the elections held after the '90s and said: "Let's go to the polls and express our will. Let's vote for the Green Left Party for freedom against fascism."

Hozan Peywan Arjin demanded votes for the Green Left Party and said: "Let's get rid of the AKP-MHP fascism in the ballot boxes. Let's go to the ballot boxes and show our will for the freedom of our people."

'The Kurdish people are going through a historic and critical process'

Hozan Deniz Deman pointed out that the Kurdish people are going through a historic and critical period and said: “In this election we will vote for freedom or the continuation of fascism. The Kurdish people and other peoples, went through a century of massacres and genocides. While we go to the polls, let's not only get rid of the AKP-MHP fascism, but also of the century-old Turkish and monist mentality. I believe that the Kurdish people will use their vote strategically. We will vote for the Green Left Party on May 14 for the freedom of peoples, beliefs and women."

Hozan Fevzi Kılıç said: "When you go to the ballot boxes, put your hands on your conscience. Consider the price the Kurds have paid. They send us the bodies of our children by post. Consider these and cast your vote. Let’s vote for the Green Left Party."

Hozan Tülay Şahmeran wanted everyone to go to the ballot boxes and vote for the Green Left Party in order to overthrow the fascist government.

Hozan Kawa said: "This is a very important process for the freedom of the Kurds. Go to the polls. As a Hozan from Serhat, I am calling out to our people. The people of Serhat, who have an ancient history and culture, go to the polls and vote for the Green Left Party. Let's change our fate."
