Kurdish associations in France organize a long march demanding the release of Abdullah Öcalan, held hostage on a prison island in Turkey since 1999.

Kurdish associations in France organize a long march from Paris to Strasbourg demanding the release of Abdullah Öcalan.

The march will kick off tomorrow, Monday, from Rue La-Fayette in Paris. 

The organizers underlined that Abdullah Öcalan has been held hostage in the prison island of Imrali in Turkey since 1999.

The march will arrive in Strasbourg on 15 February, the day Öcalan was captured by Turkey in 1999.
