Kurdish boxer İsmail Özen defeated his opponent and won the Intercontinental Middleweight Championship in Hamburg. İsmail Özen, a boxer from Dersim, had announced that he would donate his income from the game to families from Cizre, Sur and Gever.

HDP Co-President Selahattin Demirtaş and many people from Kurdistan watched the game where the boxer from Dersim who is the 76-kilo champion from Germany defeated his opponent. Spectators chanted ‘Long live Leader Apo’ and ‘Long live the PKK’ as Özen entered the ring.

İsmail Özen had joined the vigil on the Kobanê-Suruç border during the resistance of Kobanê, and had distributed 20 tons of food supplies to the residents of Kobanê as well as donating the majority of the income he earned from the European Boxing Championship.

This time, Özen donated the income from the Intercontinental Middleweight Championship to families from Cizre, Sur and Gever.
