Kurdish Red Crescent distributed food as well as some medical drugs to people in the area of Derbassiyeh. Citizens were required to present their prescription to get the medicines.
The organizers of the distribution said they are facing an acute shortage of medicines and medical aid, and the amount they recieve is insufficient to meet the needs, and called on all international relief organizations and regional and local communities to support the people of western Kurdistan by sending medicines and humanitarian aid.The Kurdish Red Crescent branch in Dirik city provided essential medicines that are not available in pharmacies to the health council in the city, and the Council, in turn, provided these medicines to the national hospital, which was suffering from acute shortages of medicines and medical supplies.
