The Kurdish youth organizations in Europe, Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ) and the Movement of Combative Young Women (TekoJIN) will stage a march in Zurich, Switzerland on April 1st to demand the physical freedom of Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Öcalan. The march will be organised as part of the "Werin Cenga Azadiyê" (Join the Struggle) campaign.

In a statement about the action, the organising committee said: “During the historic process we are going through, we should not be an onlooker to the captivity of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). On this basis, we invite our youth, patriotic people and friends to join the march to be held under the motto “Join the Freedom Struggle for the Physical Freedom of Leader Apo” in the spirit of the Newroz celebrations in Kurdistan and Europe. It is time to ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo. It is time to avenge the guerrillas who shed their blood on the lands of Kurdistan.”

The march will kick off from Helvetiaplatz at 13:00 on April 1st.
