Dozens of young people staged a demonstration in Amed’s Yenişehir district to draw attention to the hunger strike protests demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Protesters closed the main road for traffic in protest at the isolation of Öcalan, chanting “Bijî berxwedana zindanan” [Long Live the Prison Resistance] and “Bijî Serok Apo” [Long Live Leader Öcalan].
