The Kurdistan People's Initiative issued a statement and called on the Kurdish people, especially women and youth, to take action against AKP-MHP fascism until a meeting with Abdullah Öcalan is granted.
The Kurdistan People's Initiative issued a statement about the urgent need for a visit to Imrali by lawyers.
The statement says: "On 15 March, news about the health of Leader Apo [Öcalan] were posted on social media. These rumours have been spread through the media trolls of the AKP-MHP fascist government and revealed the intent and target of genocidal colonialism.
It is well known that the health and safety of Leader Apo represent the red line for the Kurdish people.
As a people, we cannot remain indifferent and unresponsive to any developments regarding Leader Apo. We must give the necessary answer to those playing with this issue, regardless of whether the news spread is true or false.”
The statement adds: “These rumours, spread on the 22nd anniversary of the international conspiracy which led to the abduction of Öcalan, the government wants to test the reaction of the Kurdish people, patriotic women and revolutionary Kurdistan youth.
It is our duty to put forward a great reaction for the health, safety and life of Leader Apo. Leader Apo is the representative of the Kurdish people's struggle for existence and freedom.
For this, it should be known that we, as the Kurdish people, will give the necessary response to the AKP-MHP fascism in every field until a meeting with Leader Apo is granted and a statement is made about his health.”
The statement continues: “It is with the spirit which led to the victory in Gare that our people in Bakur Kurdistan and in the entire Turkey, should take action.
Our people are the people of Newroz. Let's face the attacks against Leader Apo in accordance with the spirit of resurrection and resistance of the Newroz, defeat our enemies, and ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo."
