The Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan vigil in Strasbourg continues in its 656th week.
The Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan vigil has been held in Strasbourg since 25 June 2012, with the aim of ensuring the physical freedom of the Kurdish people’s leader and ending isolation in Imrali.
The vigil is undertaken by a group coming from different countries in Europe every week. This week, the 656th, the vigil was taken over by three patriots from Paris; Ali Çimen, Mustafa Demir and Recep Oghan.
Group spokesman Ali Çimen said: "Our leader has been under isolation for 26 years. We are determined to break this isolation."
Çimen added: "We invite everyone to support this vigil. We are determined to liberate the Leader."
