A group of Kurds living in the Netherlands held a commemoration event in Amsterdam on the 35th anniversary of Saddam Hussein's massacre of Halabja using chemical gas.
The Kurds also protested the chemical weapons attacks carried out by the Turkish state with the banner "End the use of chemical gas" and commemorated the guerrillas who fell as martyrs as a result of the chemical attacks.
One of the protesters, Hüseyin Yıldız, said: "Since the world remained silent about Saddam Hussein's massacre in Halabja, the Turkish state is now attacking the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla by using chemical gas in Medya Defense Areas. These inhuman attacks must end."
