Kurds took to the streets across Europe in protest at the French state for the non-trial of gunman Ömer Güney who has died last week before the first hearing of his trial for the assassination of Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez in the heart of capital Paris city on January 9, 2013.
VIENNA
In the Austrian capital city Vienna, demonstrators gathered under the leadership of Avesta Kurdish Women's Association to protest the Frenchs state's inaction on Paris murders, with the motto "We demand justice".
Protestors gathered in front of the French Embassy, carrying a banner which read "We demand the exposure of the truth on Paris murders" in German and French.
Demonstrators pointed out that Ömer Güney, the gunman in the murder of Sakine, Fidan and Leyla, had been silenced deliberately before his death ahead of the approaching first hearing in his trial.
It was also emphasised that Güney was not the only person responsible for the killings behind which Turkish intelligence service MIT was well known to be. The French state was urged to take the necessary steps in order for justice to be done.
Carrying banners of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, PYD, PKK, AVESTA, Ciwanen Azad and KJB, protestors distributed leaflets in German that detailed the assassination of the three Kurdish women.
DÜSSELDORF
The German city of Düsseldorf was also scene to a demonstration demanding justice for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla.
This week's demo, organised by Kurdistan Women's Union (YJK-Germany) and Kurdish Women's Peace Office (CENI), was taken over by representatives of people's assemblies operating in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
A press statement in German was read out during the demo at Martin Luther Platz and a file consisting of AKP and collaborator MHP's annihilation policies and Öcalan's situation was submitted to the NRW Parliament.
HAMBURG
Another demo in Germany was held in Hamburg city where a demonstration was held with the motto “Do not let Paris murders to be left in dark”.
The demonstration at Mönckebergstrasse was organised by Rojbin Women's Assembly on TJK-E's call. Protestors demanded justice for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla.
Rojbin Women's Assembly members said it would be unacceptable for the French state to close the case on the murder of the three Kurdish women after the death of Ömer Güney. It was also underlined that the case was deliberately prolonged and postponed by French authorities deliberately.
Protestors also remembered the 12 people killed in the most recent terror act in Berlin.
FRANKFURT
In Frankfurt, Germany dozens joined a demonstration organised by YJK-Frankfurt to condemn the injustice on Paris murders and demand freedom for the Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Demonstrators also condemned the most recent terror attack in Berlin which claimed the lives of 12 people.
DARMSTADT
YJK-Darmstadt members opened an information stand demanding an immediate and to the isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı Island Prison.
MARSEILLE
The weekly demonstration held in Marseille with a demand for justice for Sakine, Fidan and Leyla every Wednesday was held in its 205th week yesterday.
Protestors joining the demo led by Arin Mirkan Assembly in front of Marseilles Governor's Office urged French authorities to expose the truth on the killing of the three Kurdish women.
Demonstrators distributed leaflets in French and called for strong participation in the rally to be held in Paris on January 7.
ZURICH AND BASEL
In Zurich city of Switzerland, demonstrators that assembled in front of the Central Train Station under the leadership of Zurich Beritan Women's Assembly demanded justice for Sakine Cansız, Fidan Doğan and Leyla Şaylemez.
In Basel as well, Ronahi Women's Assembly members staged a demonstration condemning the non-trial of Ömer Güney and demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Distributing leaflets in German that gave details on the murder of three Kurdish women, demonstrators vowed to continue their protests until light is shed on the massacre and Öcalan is freed.
