People of Kurdistan living in Gothenburg, Sweden marched for the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Protestors carried signs that said "We condemn the conspiracy against Öcalan on its 18th year. Freedom for Öcalan!" and chanted slogans such as "Long Live Leader Öcalan", "You Cannot Put Out Our Sun", "Freedom for Öcalan, Status for Kurdistan", "No Life Without the Leader" and "Turkish State Get Out of Kurdistan."
Hundreds of protestors came together in Brunnparken, Gothenburg to demand the freedom of Öcalan and condemn the AKP government and the Turkish state. Kurdish Women's Movement representative Kani Berzangi and Gothenburg NCDK administrators addressed the protestors and emphasized that the February 15 conspiracy targeted the will of Kurdish people through Öcalan, but Öcalan and the Kurdish Freedom Movement defeated the conspiracy with the tactics and strategies they created. Speakers also called for enhancing the struggle for Öcalan's freedom.
The protest, which was led by PJAK, Sweden Democratic Kurdish Society Center, Rojava Committee and the Kurdish women's organizations in Gothenburg, ended with anthems and slogans in Kurdish.
