More people are joining protests across Germany to condemn Monday's attack by ISIS in which a militant drove into the crowd in Christmas market in Berlin with a truck, killing 12 and wounding 48 others, of whom 14 remain in critical condition.
While the driver of the truck was neutralized, police detained a 23-year-old Pakistani refugee as suspect but later released him. The actual suspect by the name of Anis Amri from Tunisia managed to flee and is sought by police everywhere now.
Kurdish people living in the German capital are participating in the demonstrations held in front of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the center of the capital where the attack was carried out on Monday to remember the victims of the deadly attack.
Following a visit by NAV-DEM officials to the scene the day before, representatives from HDK-Berlin, PYD and Rojava offices in Germany left a wreath at the spot and expressed their solidarity with the German people.
ROJAVA REPRESENTATIVE: WE FIGHT ISIS FOR ALL HUMANITY
Rojava Representative for Germany, Sipan İbrahim stated that their hearts are with the German people, and reiterated that the battle Kurds waged against ISIS in Kurdistan was for the entire humanity. İbrahim called on everyone to strengthen unity against the enemy.
HDK/HDP Berlin-Brandenburg Co-spokespersons and assembly members left flowers at the scene of the ISIS attack and remembered the victims.
Representatives from German Green Party (Die Linke), HDK-HDP Berlin, Antifa and other leftist groups joined a demo staged in response to the protest organized by NPD and AFD against foreigners.
