Kurds living in Russia celebrated the 10th anniversary of the 19 July Rojava Revolution with an event held in the capital Moscow.
Kurds and their friends attended the celebration organized by the Russian Northern and Eastern Syria Representation.
Northern and Eastern Syria Representative Reşad Benav, Russian Kurdish Women's Organization President Cûliyeta Aram and Russian Kurds National-Cultural Federal Autonomy Co-Chair Farhat Patîyev addressed the crowd.
The speakers said that the Rojava Revolution means a lot to the peoples of Kurdistan and that the practical implementation of the Kurdish people's leader's Democratic Modernity project is an example of success. It was emphasized that the 19 July Rojava Revolution could exist thanks to the values created by the Kurdish National Liberation Struggle, especially by the 14 July Death Fast Resistance.
The speakers also said that the Rojava Revolution encompasses all nations, cultures and beliefs living in Rojava, beginning with the Kurds. The speakers also added that the Rojava Revolution is the Women's Freedom Revolution and that it is the strongest expression of the implementation of a society based on equality and freedom. Kurds living in Russia said that the Rojava Freedom Revolution is a source of great hope and that the achievements of the 19 July Revolution would be increased.
After the speeches, a video about the revolution was shown.
The 10th anniversary celebration ended with the performance by local artists Hamide Mecîd, Ahmed Gasanov, Barzani and the folklore group Rûken.
