Kurds in Berlin send postcards to Abdullah Öcalan
Kurdish people living in Berlin sent postcards to Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali.
Postcards were sent from Berlin to Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imrali as part of the "100 Thousand Cards to Imralı" campaign.
DEST-DAN Women's Assembly and NAV-Berlin (Assembly of Free Kurdistan) organized a meeting to write and send the cards. Activists said that it is time for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in Imralı High Security Prison for 25 years.
Making a statement before the action, NAV-Berlin co-chair Hüseyin Yılmaz said that they will continue to organize action and demonstrations to ensure the physical freedom of Öcalan.
