Masses from France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium are joining the protest demonstration organized by the European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E).

Kurds and their friends in Belgium and neighboring countries have started to gather in Brussels as of early morning hours today to join a massive rally demanding an end to the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and calling on European institutions to take immediate action.

Masses from France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium are joining the protest demonstration organized by the European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress (KCDK-E).

The mass started to march in the afternoon behind a huge banner reading “Freedom for Öcalan”, carrying banners with photos of Öcalan and hunger strikers. HDP officials in exile are also joining the demonstration.

KCDK-E called on the Council of Europe and European Union member states to put pressure on Turkey in order for the demand of hunger strikers to be met.

The march will end with a rally at the Schuman Square where the Council of Europe and European Commission offices are located.
