Kurds in Essen, Germany are preparing for the march to be staged in Cologne on 17 February to demand the freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
In this context, a meeting was organised with the FED-MED and YJK-E NRW components in Essen. Spokespersons of FEDA, CIK, Kültür, NAV-YEK and PYD also took part in the meeting which was attended by nearly 100 people.
As part of preparations, action committees formed for the march provided information. Intensive public meetings and visits to houses and shopkeepers were planned.
Again, booths will be opened at the beginning of February in busy places, and action leaflets will be distributed.
