This is not an internal feud, like the deputy president of the ruling AK party Hüseyin Çelik has said, this are a grave political murders". BDP co-chair Gulten Kýþanak is visibly shocked by the killings, in Paris, of three Kurdish women politicians. "These killings - she adds - are a provocation on the road to peace. Who tries to distort the truth, to hide those responsible of the killings is in fact trying to justify these brutal murders". Kýþanak says that Sakine Cansýz was the "Rosa Luxembourg of the Kurds". She was in Diyarbakýr prison during the 1980 military coup period and she was so brave to spit in the face of Esat Oktay [Coup general Kenan Evren in Diyarbakýr prison]. Her head always straight, she gained respect and pride within the organisation".
"These three women - she adds - were fighting for freedom and democracy. They have been killed by those afraid of freedom".
