Lawyers denied permission to visit Öcalan

Lawyers for Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan have been denied permission to visit their client from Bursa Prosecutor. Lawyers Rezan Sarıca, Cengiz Yürekli ve Mazlum Dinç had filed their request to the authorities as they do every Tuesday and every Thursday. Today they were told the boat to Imralı is out of order and therefore there is no trasport to take them to the prison.
Lack of boat or bad weather are the by now usual "excuses" used by the authorities to deny lawyers permission to see the Kurdish leader.
The lawyers have not been allowed to see their client since 27 July 2011.
The European Committee for the Prevention of Torture delegation has visited the prison in Imralı island on 17 January but has not released any statement since.
