Turkish Elections Board (YSK) has said local elections will take place on 30 March 2014.

Future candidates should present their names by 1 December 2013 at 5pm.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had stated today that his Justice and Development Party (AK Party) will run headscarf-wearing female candidates.
