London celebrates Newroz
Thousands of people took part in the Newroz celebrations in London on Sunday. Despite the cold and the snow, thousands joined the concert and celebration in Finsbury Park, North London.
A huge banner commemorated the three Kurdish politicians killed in Paris on 9 January, PKK co-founder Sakine Cansız, KNK Paris representative Fidan Doğan, and member of youth movement Leyla Şaylemez.
Several international guests were present and spoke at the event. Among them, European MP Jean Lambert, deputies David Lammy and long time friend of the Kurds Jeremy Corbyn.
Sinn Féin deputy Conor Murphy was also present as were deputy Elfyn Liwyd and Lord Roy Kenndy.
Ozan Diyar was the lead artist together with Koma Zelal, Afagh Tufahani Rojhilati, Berivan Arin, Koma Siyabend, Sezgin Coşkun.
