Long March for Öcalan in south France on day 3

The long march in south France continues on the third day.

Kurds in the southern cities of France are staging a three-day march to protest against the international conspiracy that led to the arrest of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999.

The march was launched on Thursday with the participation of 143 activists from Marseille, Bordeaux, Montpellier, Draguignan, and Toulouse. It continues on its third day with more than 300 participants.

The demonstration which also expresses solidarity with the Kurdish hunger strike resistance will conclude in Marseille today.

Today’s stage of the march kicked off at St. Antoine early this morning. During the day, the Kurdish activists will walk up to St. Joliett area in Marseille where a rally will be held to conclude the protest.

The Socialist Party of France saluted Öcalan and expressed support with the marchers, saying “We are with you to the end.”
