Long march for Öcalan in Stuttgart

Kurds in Europe stage long marches in protest at the February 15 international conspiracy against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the isolation imposed on him by the Turkish state.

Kurdistan Communities Federation (FCK) organised a two-day march in the German city of Stuttgart to protest the 21st anniversary of the International Conspiracy which led to the capture in Kenya of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 15 February 1999.

The march kicked off from the Esslingen Bahnhof at 11:00 in the morning with the participation of dozens of Kurds and their friends.

A press statement in the name of the activists highlighted the goal and importance of the march and called for action against the captivity of the Kurdish leader that has left 20 years behind, stating that the international conspiracy continues today.

The statement said; “Isolation is a crime against humanity. The Turkish state which targets democratic politics in the person of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, tries to plunge the country into a darkness.”

Today’s stage of the march will be concluded at Bad Cannstatt Bahnhoff where the second stage of the march will start at 12:00 tomorrow. The protest will be concluded in Stuttgart tomorrow.
