Long March in Germany continues on its third day

The long march of the Kurdish youth movement for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan continues at its third stage in Dusseldorf today.

The long march of the Kurdish youth movement for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan started in the German city of Essen on Sunday. 

Kurdish and internationalist activists from Germany, England, France, Switzerland, Colombia, Austria, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands are taking part in the six-day demonstration under the slogan "For the freedom of Rêber Apo - Come to the liberation struggle!" (ku. Ji Bo Azadiya Rêber APO - Werin Cenga Azadiyê!).

Sunday’s leg of the demonstration ended at Duisburg Central Station. The second day of the march kicked off from Duisburg on Monday, and concluded in Krefeld. The third day of the Long March today moves from Düsseldorf Airport to Düsseldorf Harffstrasse in the city centre, where a commemoration event will take place in the evening to pay tribute to martyrs Ali Çiçek, Tijda Ekecik, Senar Zagros, Dîdar Harûn and Rêzan Amed.
