Lord Hylton says Öcalan is the key for peace in the Middle East

Lord Hylton said that "Turkey's aggressive behaviour is causing the death of civilians."

Lord Hylton said in his interview with journalist Erem Kansoy that Abdullah Öcalan is recognised as a leader of the Kurdish people by millions, and that he is the key to achieve peace in the Middle East.

Lord Hylton also said that "Turkey's aggressive behaviour is causing the death of civilians."

The interview is the latest of a series promoted by the Peace in Kurdistan Campaign and the Freedom for Öcalan Campaign.

The topics discussed in this interview include: The role of Abdullah Öcalan in the struggle for peace and freedom for the Kurds, the Turkish state’s present attitude towards Mr Öcalan, in which direction Turkey is now heading and what the Turkish state aims to achieve by isolating Öcalan, and what the prospects are for democratisation in Turkey.
