MA reporter and son of HDP MP taken into custody

The Turkish regime’s political genocide operations continue without interruption.

Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporter Ömer Akın was detained by the police while following the developments in Mardin’s Derik district where HDP co-mayor Mülkiye Esmez was taken into custody and the municipality was besieged by the police earlier today. Akın was reportedly detained in the scope of an investigation launched by Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office. He has been taken to Derik Courthouse. Akın was released after giving his statement.

HDP Amed deputy Remziye Tosun’s son Muhammet Şiyar Tosun (18) was taken into custody in Amed (Diyarbakır) city today. Tosun is accused of being engaged in an attack against the police and having a fingerprint on an explosive confiscated in 2015.

The 18-year-old was detained by the police while leaving his school and is held at the anti-terror branch of the provincial police department.
