Governorate says 3,899 buildings have been destroyed by earthquake in Malatya
Malatya Governorate announced that the number of buildings destroyed in the two Mereş-centered earthquakes was 3,899.
Malatya Governor's Office was informed about the latest situation in the city, which was affected by the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Mereş on 6 February.
The statement said that 3,899 buildings have been destroyed, and added that 23,968 heavily damaged buildings and 2.247 moderately damaged have been identified. The number of buildings to be demolished urgently is 372.
