Man arrested may not be Kurd -FLASH

According to information gathered by French website ActuKurde, one of the Paris suspects, mentioned as "Ö.Y", who has been referred to court on Monday in connection with the execution of three Kurdish women, is not a Kurd.

ActuKurde claimed that the suspect was originally from Þarkisla,in the province of Sivas, but not of Kurdish origin. The report by ActuKurde said that the suspect came from an ultra-nationalist family and that he is not a person known by the Kurdish community in Paris, which complicates the collection of information on him. According to another Kurdish source, the man could be against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party).

No details have been disclosed so far about the identities of the two men who were taken into custody on 17 January. One of the suspects has been released early Monday following an extended custody by French police. According to Kurdish sources, both men lived in the same apartment.

ActuKurde noted that it is unclear at the moment how the suspect made contact with three women before they were shot dead in the Kurdistan Information Office on 9 January.

ActuKurde cited unnamed French officials saying that at the day of the murder the 'suspect' had apparently driven with his own car one of the victims to the Information Office.
