Man from Kobanê dies of Covid-19 in Bremen
Khaled Hamo has died of the viral disease Covid-19 in Bremen. The 55-year-old man came from Kobanê and had lived in Germany for three years.
55-year-old Khaled Hamo has died of coronavirus in Bremen. He had been hospitalized for ten days after the onset of the disease and died in hospital.
Hamo was a pharmacist and came from the village Zerkotik in the west of Kobanê. He was the father of six children. The family came to Germany three years ago.
Hamo is the first person from Kobanê to succumb to the coronavirus. There are no known cases of infection in Rojava.
