BEILEFELD
People of Kurdistan and their allies organized a march in Beilefeld, Germany to protest the isolation of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Protestors chanted slogans such as “Our Leadership is Our Life” and read a statement in German before ending their march in HBF.
HAMBURG
Protestors marched in Hamburg, Germany to commemorate December 10 Human Rights Day, and drew attention to the conditions of prisoners politicians such as Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Turkey. Rojbin Women’s Assembly representative Sevahir Bayındır addressed the protestors and described Öcalan as the will and red line of Kurdish people.
LYON
28 women’s organizations, political parties and unions organized a protest in front of the Turkish Consulate in Lyon, France with the motto of “Women are not alone in Turkey and Kurdistan.” Protestors demanded an end to violence against women and femicides, and the release of women journalists and authors such as Aslı Erdoğan and Necmiye Alpay.
