Mass grave discovered in Aleppo’s eastern neighborhoods

A mass grave has been discovered in eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo where the gangs are cleared out. There is an estimated 20 thousand people massacred by gangs and put in mass graves.

As a result of YPG/YPJ forces launching a liberation operation on eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo in November, all strategic neighborhoods have been cleared of gangs like Al Nusra, Ahrar Al Sham and Sultan Murat Brigade and have been liberated.

In the areas under gang invasion, thousands of people have been put through torture and massacres. With the invaded areas cleared, dozens of mass graves have been found.

MASS GRAVE IN BOSTAN PASHA DAREZE

One of the mass graves was found in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo by YPG/YPJ forces in Bostan Pasha Dareze area.

YPG/YPJ forces started excavation efforts on information gathered from the locals in the area with the mass graves. As a result of the efforts, three civilians were found buried in the mass grave.

The Dareze area is known as a Armenian-heavy region. But after gangs like Al Nusra, Ahrar Al Sham and Sultan Murat Brigade invaded the area, most of the Armenians either migrated or were forced to migrate.

It is also known that the Armenians who didn’t migrate were tortured by these gang groups and they were massacred. According to the information local Armenians gave the YPG/YPJ forces, it is possible that this mass grave of 3 civilians belongs to the Christian Arabs in the region.

YPG/YPJ forces continue their inquiry on the matter.

AT LEAST 20 THOUSAND BURIED IN MASS GRAVES

These graves in the areas occupied by ISIS, Al Nusra, Ahrar Al Sham and Sultan Murat Brigade gangs have been documented by international institutions to bear 30 bodies in the minimum and thousands in the maximum.

It is very difficult to know exactly how many people have been murdered and buried in mass graves in Syria, because the mass graves are mostly in areas under gang control. The numbers in other mass graves continue to be determined through tests on the bodies, inspection of videos published by ISIS and other gang groups and satellite images.

ISIS, Al Nusra, Ahrar Al Sham, Sultan Murat Brigade and other such gangs are estimated to have murdered at least 20 thousand people in massacres in Syria and Iraq.
