IHD (Human Rights Association) Diyarbakir Branch will tomorrow present its report on mass graves. Many civil society organizations, representatives of political parties and international foreign delegations are expected to join the press conference which will also be the occasion to present the first Interactive Map of Mass Graves in Turkey. Following its publication, the Report on Mass Graves will be conveyed to the official authorities, civil society organizations and international institutions and organizations.

The updated report, which almost triples the number of mass graves present in the IHD’s first report published last February, gives details of the mass graves of mostly PKK militants and a large number of civilians who died as a result of intense clashes especially in the 90s.

The Google Maps-based and updateable Map of Mass Graves will be accessible on the web site of the IHD Diyarbakir Branch. Witnesses and people who have knowledge of mass graves will be able to pass on to the IHD their knowledge.
